Taste was established in 2004 with the securing of the catering operations at Riccarton House homestead. Since then Taste have worked tirelessly at establishing themselves as one of Christchurch’s premiere host and event planners. Some of the events to date include: 2007 LPC long lunch, 2008 Silver Screen Festival 2009 French Cabaret Festival, Ronald MacDonald charity auction with Robbie Deans, RiccArton Arts and Sculpture Festival and the 2010 annual Feast of Canterbury™ culinary festival. Taste are also the founders of the Christchurch Farmers Market based at the grounds of Riccarton House, home to an established foodies heaven with over 50 producers and farmers. Taste reached the finals of the Champion Canterbury Awards 2009 in the host category, in recognition of their contribution to Canterbury tourism and economic development. Taste Events Company has been established with the sole purpose of continuing to create and organise new and exciting events, to showcase the Canterbury region and celebrate the history and unique qualities of the area.
